Polar Bear Amigurumi Free Pattern

Hello everyone! Winter is coming ) and today I have a special new free pattern for you – amigurumi polar bear. Very cute and cuddly nice to hug bear which is very easy to crochet from your favorite yarn.

Material

  • Some yarn of your choice (I suggest YarnArt Jeans)
  • A hook (size 1,5 mm)
  • A needle.
  • Some stuffing.
  • Safety eyes and safety nose.

Crochet Pattern: Amigurumi Polar Bear

MUZZLE

Using gray color.

Chain 6.

R1 : (Start crochet from the second stitch from the hook) 1 increase, 3sc, 4 sc in the last stitch, 3 sc, 1 increase. (14)

R2 : description for each single stitch

  • 1 st – sc, hdc
  • 2 st – 2 dc
  • 3 st – dc, hdc
  • 4 st – ss
  • 5 st – hdc, dc
  • 6 st – 2 dc
  • 7 st – hdc, sc
  • 8 st – sc
  • 9 st – ss

Stop crocheting. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

LEGS-BODY-HEAD (1 piece)

We will start crocheting our bear from legs. (Make 2)

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 : (1sc, increase) repeat 6 times (18)

R4 : 18sc back loops only      (18)

R5 – R9 : 18sc (18)

Repeat and crochet 2 legs.

You can cut and glue inside the legs some solid surfaces like plastic or cardboard (use hot glue gun) so your bear will stand more surely.

When you finished one leg cut the yarn and weave in ends. When the second leg is done do not cut the yarn and continue working ahead to the body.

Chain 4

R10 : 18sc around the first leg, 4sc along the chain, 18sc around the second leg, 4 sc along the chain (44)

Place your safety eyes between 48 and 49 rows (between eyes 9 stitches).

Place safety nose together with bear’s muzzle between 46 and 47 rows.

Start stuffing, then continue while you go.

Using gray color crochet a scarf of your choice.

Sew all parts together and your amigurumi polar bear is done!
