Amigurumi mint bear (free pattern)

Look what a beautiful mint bear I have ) This is actually very easy to crochet amigurumi toy and here is the free pattern for all who wants to repeat my experience, good luck!

I really like this young spring colors, looks really fresh and cute, but you can easily change them according your taste  by choosing fall or winter color scheme, anyway enjoy the process!

Material

– White, mint, and gray yarn.

– A hook.

– A needle.

– Some stuffing.

– Safety eyes color green

Crochet Pattern: mint bear

HEAD

Using white yarn,

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 : (1sc, increase) repeat 6 times (18)

R4 : (2sc, increase) repeat 6 times (24)

R5 : (3sc, increase) repeat 6 times (30)

R6 : (4sc, increase) repeat 6 times (36)

R7 : (5sc, increase) repeat 6 times (42)

R8 – R12 : 42sc (42)

R13: (5sc, decrease) repeat 6 times (36)

R14 : (4sc, decrease) repeat 6 times (30)

Attach safety eyes and Start stuffing, then continue while you go.

R15 : (3sc, decrease) repeat 6 times (24)

R16 : (2sc, decrease) repeat 6 times (18)

R17 : (1sc, decrease) repeat 6 times (12)

R18 : 6 decrease (6)

Fasten off and weave in the ends.

BODY

Using white and mint yarn,

Start with white yarn

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 : (1sc, increase) repeat 6 times (18)

R4 : (2sc, increase) repeat 6 times (24)

R5 – R15 : 24sc (24)

R16 : (6sc, decrease) repeat 3 times (21)

change to mint yarn

R17 – R20 : 21sc (21)

R21 : (5sc, decrease) repeat 3 times (18)

R22 – R23 : 18sc (18)

R24 : (4sc, decrease) repeat 3 times (15)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing. Stuff body firmly. Sew body to head.

LEGS (make 2)

Using white yarn,

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 – R4 : 12sc (12)

R5 : 4sc, decrease 2, 4sc (10)

R6 – R11 : 10sc (10)

R12 : 5 decrease (5)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing. Attach legs to bottom of body.

ARMS (make 2)

Using white and mint yarn,

Start with white yarn

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : (1sc, increase) repeat 3 times (9)

R3 : 9sc (9)

change to mint yarn

R4 – R10 : 9sc (9)

Fasten off and leave long end for sewing.  Attach to sides of body.

Bear’s EARS

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 – R4 : 12 sc (12)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing to the head. Flatten them before sewing.

Bear’s TAIL

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : increase in each stitch of previous round (12)

R3 : 12 sc (12)

Stuff lightly. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Bear’s SNOUT (white yarn)

R1 : 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

R2 : 3 sc in the first stitch, 2 sc, 3 sc in the next stitch, 2 sc (10)

R3 : 1 sc, increase 2, 3 sc, increase 2, 2 sc (14)

Slip stitch, pull tight and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Bear’s SCARF

Chain 51 then 50 sc back. Decorate your scarf with fringe.

Assemble all parts, embroider a nose and put the scarf on, done!

  1. how do you sew the body onto the head? do you stitch around or stitch the neck in a straight line and then onto the head?

    • Just place the head on the hole of the body, then stitch the head to the body (a stitch in the body, a stitch in the head, and so on. All the way around.)
      You also can change head position to make bear tilting of the head to the right or left or chin up, chin down.
